We are not alone!

At least in planetary terms, scientists have found 3, yes 3 earth like planets within 42 LY of us!

so what does that mean? well if there's 3 within 42 LY of us, that mean earth like planets are not unique and that life can and probably has evolved elsewhere. Plus being only 42 LY away, that puts them almost within reach of us, now to pressure our grand governments to fund faster spacescraft that can getto these planets, take readings and return, we could have a craft there and back in 150 years or sooner if we really worked at it

So who's up to task for designing the ship to go visit these new earth's?

A planet 4.2 earth masses, orbiting it's sun every 4.3 days is nowhere I want to live.

Don't judge a man by his medals, but by his scars.

Just wait until the new planet hunter probes are in position... they should be able to get a much better resolution and detect planets more along the lines of this one, rather than the hefty lumps with whacky orbits they've been picking up so far

Its a matter of finding a telescope with the proper sensitivity and resolution. Just add $5-10 Billion and we will get somewhere ! Those planets are called "super"earth size because they are terrestrial planets instead of gas giants. I dont know if there is an appropriate term to describe it, but we still dont have the proper equipment to determine if there are any "near earth" planets
