   | Another artist lost, Michael Turner, 6-27-2008 Ok, I have to say I was truthfully more shocked when I learned of this than I was George Carlin. Comic book artist Michael Turner passed away Friday night after a long battle with cancer at the age of 37.  He has always been one of my favorite comic book artists and inspirations. I am really saddened by his loss and that I almost got to meet him at a recent comic book convention and now wont. Article |

| SFM Obsessed  | It's usually always surprising when a CB artist dies, because it's seldom told to the readers that the artist has serious health problems. Myself I'm not surprised, but I'm glad he was able to fill out the dam against 'mill' artists that filled the CB market during his life. Even if his 'style' was little more than same olde, same olde Lee clone it helped to up the standards for CB art. |

| The After life are acting like local cops now, you can go weeks with out seeing one but when its time to meet the quota you seem them all over the place pulling over people handing out tickets. |

| Agree. this sucks. Da** Cancer... took a toll on my family, my father has one(fortunately detected soon and it's controlled, almost cured now  )Dying with 37 years old is quite sad... one of the good artists i have ever seen in comic books, i loved his covers... from Civil War to Sub-Mariner... Rest in Peace. |
