| My thirteenth birthday was on a Friday the thirteenth. Not really freaky... just sort of a snapshot of my life in general. |

| SFM Nugget | About two months ago I was woken by doorbell. I was propably dreaming about being visited by Jehova's Witnesses, because for some reason my first thought after opening eyes was that there are Jehova's Witnesses at my door. The whole thing got weirder when they were really standing there, two of them just oustide my door... I wasn't hangovered, I didn't drink too much coffee last night, no explanation crossed my mind. |

| You saw the phoenix lights? cool. I've seen multiple UFO's at once, in the middle of the day, they were just high altitude metallic looking silver balls in formation, then splitting and flying apart from each other at very high speed. I'd love to know what the **** they were! |

| tell you this. you have to be a real fool to actually think what happened in phenoix was flares. Flares drift, Helicopters Drift they don't actually hover in one place. this thing didn't move, it did have a large triangle shape to it. To be honest it was actually cool to really see it. the lights at least. |

| When I was 14, my Uncle Joe and I wer in my Grandmothers back yard (drinking beer). And it was during a lunar eclipse. Just as the moon was turning red I saw a funny looking object in front of it. I asked my uncle what it was, and he said it was a cloud. But I asked him if it was a cloud, why is it casting a shadow on the moon. Needless to say that his eyebrows went up when he saw I was right. He went and got a pair of binoculars, and believe me, it wasn't a cloud. We didn't get a really good look at it, but after several seconds of it cruising in front of the moon, it just took off, and went completely out of site. Quote:

| When I was 20 I was taking out the trash and it was in the evening. I looked up and saw a red light- like the size of a star. It was moving a decent speed and I thought it was just the nav light of a jetliner as where I was living at the time was under the landing corridoor for the airport. As I watched for the light to blink or any other lights on the plane to blink , nothing happened. Then the light went right between two stars in sky and none of the stars were blotted out by the darkened shape of the plane. It was at that moment I wasn't looking at a plane. I ran inside and grabbed my binoculars and went into the back yard. I caught the red light again and it was still moving across the sky; then it stopped dead. It floated in place for about 5 minutes. The binoculars didn't really help; it just made the light fuzzier, so it must have really been high up in the sky. It moved in a different direction and then stopped again. Then about 60 seconds later it just twiddled out of view while being stationary and disappeared. I don't know what it was, I'm not saying it's ooooo aliens, but it wasn't a plane it wasn't a satellite, and it wasn't a helicopter. |

| To traq: Why do you ask, were you not allowed to drink around the adults in your family at that age? |

| Okay, here's one that's a bit freaky. About 15 years back, there was an old seminary that had been sold to a group of developers who wanted to build some over-priced nearly-identical, 3500 square-foot houses (on 3550 square-foot lots). This building at one time had been rather -uh well, how to describe it... overdone, self-indulgent, ostentatious maybe. I didn't see it until after the "good stuff" had already been removed, and they still had yet to remove the marble walls lining the bathrooms (the partitions between the showers stalls were 3/4 inch solid marble.) heavy built-in solid-wood shelving and a couple of tons or so of copper plumbing, fittings and electrical cable. Some kids liked to sneak in to fool-around, drink, smoke, spray-paint some stuff, and smash the windows, plaster, and tiles after the salvage crews (and asbestos removers) left for the day. They had done a pretty good number on the upper floors. Anyway, one of my friends was a night-security guard the developer ended up hiring, (mostly to keep the kids from getting into the areas sealed off because of the asbestos). A couple of us went with him one night because - oh yeah, the place was supposed to be haunted. Because of the plaster and tile and glass on the floor, when you walked through the hallways it sounded like you were walking in gravel. And you'd get these loud popping noises every step as the stuff crushed or cracked. So you could hear people walking on the floor above or below as well as the floor you were on. All the heavy wood shelving had been removed to allow for access to the plumbing and wiring and all of it had been placed along the hallway walls. It's pitch black in this place, and we're walking down the second floor hallway, when the watchman, who's out in front of us, thinks he sees someone else's flashlight coming from the stairwell to the third floor. We turn our lights off and shuffle blindly up the stairway, popping and snapping as we go. We get to the third floor, and take a few steps, and bump into something. We turn our lights on and all the shelving that was against the walls, when we last passed through, was now in the middle of the hallway. If someone had moved it, we would have heard them crunching as they walked. There wasn't time for anyone to move all that heavy stuff anyway, especially in the dark. We never found out where the light came from. About a month later they finished tearing the place down. I think it's a community center now. |
