And who actually listens to freaking critics anymore? GD!Or is it that the fanboy's are some many that they've long ago proclaimed it a masterpiece, simply because it HAS Bat's in it (or should i say 25% of bats in it as it conveniently drops half of his character at the door of the studio). I've seen the trailers enough to tell me that I would in no way enjoy it. Just the rooftop meeting between Gordon, Dent, & Bat's nearly made me puke. And any time you have 2 villains in a story means that you are intensionally sacrificing story & character depth for filler & length. *boy i miss that the puking smiley* | |

| ^ wow pesimisim at its finest. I love to see that things what ever they may be are condemmed before they are even given a chance. But that is just me. Again, you seem 200% sure that no matter what, when 2 villians are introduced story and depth are sacced. It might not be worth it to try and convence you to atleast watch the movie. You would head in to the therater with such a negitive mind set that anything out of place or inconsistant would be magnified 10 fold in your eyes. From time to time I think we forget that Movies are purely ment for Entertainment purposes only, not to fill some missing void in are life and suddenly make us whole again. Not giveing things a chance is bad form in my book. but thats what makes this world such a intrical social environment. no 1 singular thing can please all. |

| SFM Nugget | My favorite part was the Jokers magic trick. It, more than any other way, showed how effed up the joker really is. I just loved how he didn't even pause afterwards to bask in it. He just moved on. It's so great to actually see the joker being an evil villain. Jack Nickolson's joker was in no way a villain so I felt no fear at all. But Ledgers Joker was in every way a villain. And for people who say that 2 villains is a bad thing. The movie really didn't have 2 villains. It really only had one. Two-face was really only an ansulary thing that popped up at the very end. He was really just another aspect of how evil the joker is. I felt that he was really only in there to show how the psychology of the joker and his views that even the best of us can be brought to madness, as is said in the Killing Joke, "with just one really bad day." |

| SFM Guru | Awesome movie, I thought Heath played the Joker perfectly, you'd almost believe he was the Joker. The only other person I could have seen in the role was Mark Hammil (he does the voices in all of the cartoons) but I really liked Heath, was brilliant. I don't get why everyone gripes about there being two badguys in the film. Every Batman movie (including Begins) had two villains on screen, so why should this one be any different? I wasn't even expecting Two-Face to be in the movie for very long, and was pleasantly surprised he got a half-hour out of it. All in all really great. |

| I agree too. I thought this movie was awesome. Heath perfectly played out a realistic Joker and he made him really believeable. I loved Two Face and I love the CG work that went into creating his other half. It was really cool and freaky looking. I hope that Two Face comes back in the 3rd movie if there is one. |

| SFM Guru | Ahem, my how we forget, no and I mean NO villian ever stays dead for long. Least not in the comics, there is always some manner or method by which they come back or simply escape the (whatever it is that causes there supposed death) and we just don't know it. That said, I have yet to see it, I will be seeing it tomorrow if all goes well, but from what I've seen so far it will be the best Batman yet. I have already heard a comment made about Ledger's portrayal of The Joker as being (I'm paraphrasing here) "...he plays The Joker as a true to life psychotic serial killer hell bent on nothing short of the total destruction of Batman and Gotham City..." if that aint the real Joker I don't know what is. Nothing The Joker does ever makes sense to anyone but him and that is why he has always been Batman's greatest enemy above all others. He is more than the perfect foil, he is the ultimate mystery that even the world's greatest detective simply can't solve. Just when Batman thinks he's got him figured out, the Joker does a 180 or a 220 or a 65 and three tenths (hey it's The Joker, it doesn't have to make sense or follow any standard mindsets) and then were off and running again, a whole new world of total lunacy to explore and Batman is completely baffled again. Of course we all know Batman will win in the end but that doesn't mean The Joker won't get his goat none the less. Anyway, I'll comment further once I've seen it. |
