The dark knight review thread (MASSIVE SPOILERS DUH!)

Just seen the film...and it's one of the most complex superhero movie ever.

In fact, it is not even a comic book film. There is NOTHING comic book about this film. It's a crime drama with the joker and batman inside it.

Saw it last night at IMAX. It blew me away. Heath Ledger was absolutely amazing as the Joker. The Two Face design and animation is incredible!

Honestly Im really glad they steered away from the style of the last couple of Batmans. The George Cloney era was horrendis.

Any time you have 2 villains in a movie means that it's crap for writing. And really just call it what it really is "a summer Action movie".

You obviously haven't heard or know anything about this movie then. There's a reason Top movie critics are calling it the best film of the year and a masterpiece.

The whole point of having two villians in this film is because they are related to each other.

And did you EVEN watch it?

I am Interested to see what two faces looks like as they have not shown anything on him in the promotions.

I get a little leery when it comes to 2 villians in a movie but so far the reboot of Batman has pulled it off. Granted in the first one you didn't see the first villian again till near the end so the biggest issue he had was scarecrow for a while and then you find the connection between the two at the end so it works. It becomes an issue when you have this campy useless legion of doom syndrome that seemed to define the burton series of Batman.

Even Spiderman 3 suffered from that albeit in a minor way because you didn't have the 2 villains working together till the very end. Now if you have a villian that gets defeated but gives origin to another villain in the same movie I'll buy that, it happens in the New Incredible Hulk movie and that's cool with me but generally I do not like seeing two villains working together but that doesn't mean in anyway that this movie is a let down, this has so far been the best summer for movies in a long time and this is king.

OK, saw the midnight showing of the film...got out a t 3...yes 3! It's a long movie. And I have to say the film is brilliant! IMHO it is better than Batman Begins, better than Iron Man. It's not your typical superhero movie. Yes it is based around a comic book superhero but this is different. The way Heath Ledger portrays the Joker is so real. He isn't some mob guy that gets dunked in a chemical bath. He is a homicidal psychopath.

All I can say is wow. I am going to have to go see it again
