Need WONDER COMICS #1

Need your help, I am looking for the following comic book.

WONDER COMICS #1
Publisher: FOX FEATURE SYNDICATE
Year Published:1939

I am looking for this because a friend is compiling AN ARCHIVE OF COMICS FROM THE 30s and this is one of the last few books NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE ARCHIVE.

He would be willing to buy a beat up copy or would borrow any copy to scan and return. The book's condition would be guaranteed while we borrow it.

Thanks,
Jim

How much of a deposit would your friend be prepared to pay for a loan, bearing in mind that even a 2/10 quality copy is worth around $1,500?

This would be the first appearance of Wonder Man (a Superman-knock-off) not, the Wonder Woman, who appeared in Sensation 1 right?

That's gonna be tough. I'm not sure where you'd even find a reprint. I would advise your friend to hit the large cons (Chicago, Atlanta, New York, San Diego) to make connections with dealers and/or collectors. Also he could place an ad in the Comic Buyer's Guide.

I will need to ask him. Sorry for not replying sooner but I was out at San Diego Comic Con. Have been trying to catch up on everything that did not get done when I was gone. Would you have a copy of this?
