Downloads: 0 Uploads: 0 ![]() | Stargate: Atlantis finale **Spoilers** As finales go, I thought it wasn't bad. Kinda had a rushed feeling about it. They could have easily made a two hour movie - or more. I thought it was a nice touch, the kind comments about General Hammond (also meant for the late Don S. Davis I'm assuming) and naming a ship after him. Bringing back a few familiar faces was a nice touch too. The 'Wormhole Drive' thing was a bit of a well, almost Star Trek-like surprise. One thing - at the end, Woosley welcomed Ronon to Earth. But he visited Earth with Sheppard after Sheppard's father died - so that was kinda weird.

Seems like they could have had the Earth starships manage to slow down the super-hive to allow Atlantis to catch up and had a bit more plausible timeline. Loved the Don S Davis memorial bit. Having Atlantis on Earth is a really good idea for the production. Now they can just have all of the Stargate program run from there and won't need to maintain the SGC sets anymore or vice versa. Nice way to start off series 3. ![]() Earth having 4 ZPMs will more than likely end up being the main starting plot for Universe. As to the loose ends, I believe they plan on making several Atlantis movies to they had to save some plot lines for those. |

| SFM Obsessed | I dunno, honestly I was quite disappointed. Everything from cg to acting and story felt rushed and kind of a last breath effort where they weren't really trying to make it good anymore but just trying to get it over with. I like the SGA pilot episode way more. And what the hell was the point of the stupid filler csi episode? They definately should have used that space to make this a 2 episode ending. Hopefully the movies won't be as bad. |

However, I do think it should have been a two hour episode, because everything did feel a bit rushed. Sure there were some "pulled it out at the last moment" situations, but I've come to expect things like that from tv these days. All in all, not a bad episode. I appreciated the ship being renamed "Hammond" in honor of Don S. Davis. He will be missed. It's hard to believe the series is over now. Hopefully it will get several movies like SG-1. Now as for SG Universe...it has some pretty big shoes to fill. I'll give it a chance, but I can't say I'm thrilled with the direction they are taking it, but that's just from rumors on the net. If it's bad, I won't watch it. If it's passable, then I might. The scifi channel has been very disappointing lately. We'll see what happens.

| SFM Nugget | If it would be as 3-parter, it would be just right. I mean, you can't rush scene where character dies, or you will get parody instead of drama. And this episode was anything but slow. I think that basic idea behind Enemy at the Gate is cool, but episode itself more or less fails to look dramatic enough. And for god's sake, they should have disclosed Atlantis and gate to the public. Might be magnificent ending with Atlantis flying over San Francisco. I for one hate Unending (also because it was too much rushed), but with Asgard core it at least brought some significant leap in universe of Stargate. Anyway, it wasn't paintfull for me, so let's call it win. |
