Calling all SFM’ers in the UK - Scifi-Meshes.com

Hay Guys & Gals.
I was reading one of the introduction threads the other day and notice that dAve and group of Lightwear user get together each month here in London for a drink & a laugh.
I was thinking as there are a far few of us, in and around London. So why don’t we start doing this ourselves. It would be good to put some faces to Avatar’s have a drink talk shop, show off what we are working on and have a good laugh.

I know there are few of you up north, that won’t be able to come down each month. But the door will always be open for you to join in when you are down and in town. That also includes everyone that is not in the UK.

So what do you guys think?

That would be pretty cool. A sort of SFM get together every now and then. I can easily get to london (just a 15 minute train ride to Fenchurch Street).

As for putting faces to avatars, thats what i really look like. Minus one thing... i dont wear glasses

(mabey i wont bring my helmet though

)

Hehe, yea it would be nice to arrange a nice meeting or something, however im bogged under at the moment. What little free time i have its being taken up by truck loads of stuff.

Since I manage it for LW I can do it for SFM

I'm in Guildford, so its just a 40 minute train ride, so just say where & when.

A pub in the centre of town would be good for me, say Chandos off Trafalgar Square?

Chandos is the perfect place to hold it, (Just round the corner form work

) and with it being in Trafalgar Square most of the public transport goes there or close to it.

Before we set a date and time, let’s give this thread a few days to see if anyone else is interested.

@ farcry don't worry if you can't make it. If this one is a success I am sure the will be more.

Went to one do in Sheffield with another forum. It was great, and seeing that i'm at the end of the Met Line, its closer than Sheffield...
