Doctor Who Season 2

I am restarting the Doctor Who season 2 thread. As it was the only thread. that I had posted that got some attention. LOL

Any way. Where were… Ar Yes. Saturday was the return of the Cybermen. I thought there updated look was pretty cool. The Doctor in a different Universe and Triads could be dead! Roes the Dog and Mickey, sorry Ricky the terrorist. This is a different Doctor Who Story, and very enjoyable.
BioTech, if you did not see the ep don’t worry. They have not ruined the Original Cybermen.

Any one else enjoy this Episode?

The new design for the Cybermen was impressive, if a little too 'clone trooper' in style... But I'm afraid the acting and script remain, for me at least, pretty poor. I actually enjoy watching 'Dr Who Confidential' (behind-the-scenes of each episode) afterwards over on BBC3 more than the episode itself!

I dont like this "earth" all the time thing. Its dragging now and I sure hope they get off the bloody planet and move on. (new earth was nice since it was a diffrent planet but it was still earth)

As for the Cybermen I thought the suits a bit to lexan on spandex for me. I like the design but the wobblyness of the costume in motion was a bit off. As for story well. . . .

Oh and the doctor should stop smashing the tradis console. In the original series HE NEVER hit it or had all sorts of bodged up junk on it. ( rim wideneres hanging from cords bits and junks off bicycles etc. Yes it was a mess and he would smack it every so often, but He never took a slege to it.

So far Im enjoying Tennant. And really loved the werewolf, so far thats one of my fav eps this season. The "Torchwood" is layed on a bit thick though.

I'm stuck with terrestrial TV, so I can't get Dr. Who confidential...

I definitely liked the look of the Cybermen, although I didn't like the way the ep ended with them shouting "Delete!" at the Doctor. It remined me too much of another baddy from the show...

I think they should have kept the way the old Cybermen spoke as well - you know, how their mouth would open, then a stream of words would come out, and then it would close. The blue light in their mouth was effective though...

Definitely a cool episode.

I wonder what the spinoff series will be like as well? It's gonna be on after the watershed, so it should be even better...

Yep, there was Rose's dad asked the President 'Hows Torchwood going' (or something like that) in an off hand way.
