Future NASA capsules I am trying to get ideas for futuristic NASA style capsules (like Apollo). NASA is going to the new Orion capsule on the Ares rocket starting in 2014, I am looking to design something along those lines much further in the future. Could anyone show me any artwork of either the Apollo or Orion/Ares that they might have done or seen? (I will probably follow it up with requests for detailing my very crude drawings of what I call the "Magellan" craft). Thank you so much everyone, Yankee Dave

Perhaps this site could be a good source of inspiration: Encyclopedia Astronautica has lots of real, projected and/or discarded space vehicles' illustrations and explanations. One can derive lots of ideas from those.

check out NASA's website. They have technical drawings of the mercury/gemini/apollo spacecrafts including the capsules. I have a very large compilation of the images but I dont have a way to host, although I will admit I havent put any effort into finding a way. Anyways, it is time consuming, but take a few a hours and comb through the pictures and there are great references. also google will bring up a ton im sure
