| SFM Guru  | Space... Okay, I couldn't think of a name for this thread, but here goes... I'm writing a science fiction novel and I need help with modeling ships, I kinda suck at that. Basically what I need is things along this line... 1. A large (Battlestar Galactica sized ship) with bays for small fighter ships. 2. Small, thin, fighter ship with missiles and small rail guns, the fighter needs to be small, like the size of an F16. (again, think Battlestar Galactica, the vipers) Thanks everyone, the book's gonna be great and I'd really appreciate everyone's help  |

| SFM Guru | Okay, sorry, I was worried about being too picky, um...  For the Galactica sized ship, it needs to have two fighter bays on the sides, one on top of the other, like two stories, and a reversed one on the other side. The bay needs to be seperate from the ship, but still physically connected, that can be whatever. The greeble like things on the USAF battle cruisers in Stargate need to cover it, they should be either black or DARK DARK gray. Random antennas and bulges like SMALL towers should be on the top. Long Rail Guns at the front and sides. High powered guidance missile launchers in the front and back of it. Four cylindrical thrusters, positioned away from eachother in a square formation, and a SLIGHTLY smaller one in the middle. Bright blue windows on the sides, in an even fassion. I really hope that wasn't too specific... The fighter should be black, long like a Viper from BSG. To small rail guns on the sides, a rocket positioned on the top and bottom of each one. Three engines on the rear, the wings can very, but they need to be compact. The thrusters should give off a blue, flat light, not fire. The cockpit can be pushed to the back, so the nose sticks out, the end close to something of an X-Wing. Thanks everyone |
