Google SketchUp Tutorials?

Hi SFM,

I have just downloaded Google SketchUp and I've got the hang of the basics of it's use but I have no idea how to make anything other than a square or rectangle!!

Are there any tutorials on how to create starship meshes etc with SketchUp? If not, would anyone here be able to help me out?

Thanks.

Here's a LINK to the Sketchup community forums... haven't been there in awhile, but they've got a lot of helpful people who have done some pretty amazing stuff with sketchup!

Hope this helps!

@liam887: That's some amazing work! If you're able to do some great modeling like that in sketchup, please do put up a tutorial here if you've got the interest and the time...I for one would follow it eagerly!

Well, I personally would like a tutorial on how to create even the most basic of sci-fi meshes in SketchUp, perhaps then leading on to more complex ones.

As for where to start, I also have no idea! lol.

I'm sure someone here could give you a few tips though.

ok how about just simple meshes that are quite boxy? so you can learn on how to mould out basic shapes? something like the poa from halo? If you go onto the 3dwarehouse (google) search for liam887, look for my pilar of autumn model and download it its free and you can use that for a reference model and ill write a tutorial step by step on how to make it?
