hi im new to the site because i want to start making my own models. my main goal is to learn how to make ships and planets and how to plug them into sins of a solar empire and galactic civilizations 2. but im completely new to this and i was wondering if any of u knew of any starter tutorials or could maybe even tutor me to get on my feet. ty much and good luck with ur modding.

It helps if you tell us what 3D package you are using

i have adobe photoshop and i have paint shop pro i have it just havent instaleed yet and a friend has 3ds max and says he knows where i can get it

get blender

it's just as good as max, and it's free! though it does have a steep learning curve . . .
I know of many modders who make great use of blender

Yeah, it's called buying it from Autodesk!
