Need a custom TIE Fighter, easy changes

In a personal project of mine I need some pictures of a TIE Fighter that is configured differently from the standard ones. I have zero experience with any 3d program, so that's why I'm asking here.

The changes are very simple. I'd like to see a variant of the TIE Interceptor where the back half of the wings are mirrored towards the front. The only thing that needs to be on there is the cockpit mounted lasers, like on the regular TIE Fighter.

The idea is that this is an updated TIE Fighter that bridges the wing design 'gap' between the Fighter and the Interceptor.

I'd like to have some nice pictures of this, along with a 3D Max file so that I can render some stuff of my own once I figure out how to do that.

I hope this is the proper place to ask this.

It's the proper place to ask, but I would recommend you find a model for people to modify first as creating it from scratch would be a reasonably large amount of work. Remember to get permission from the model's original creator for the modification too though

My random WIP thread which includes some hints and tips on modelling which _may_ be useful for the link above...!
