Downloads: 3 Uploads: 0 | Can anyone point me to reference pics of the viroid from the original Andromeda Strain movie? Specifically, I want the electron microscope pics. ALso, is there anyone who knows how they got the "folding/unfolding" effect in the animation of it growing? Thanks! |

Downloads: 5 Uploads: 0 | It was explained in the DVD extras: I think Dykstra mentioned some geometric puzzle toy that they used straight or as a basis to build its own model, motorizing its parts. Also, they had a crude electronic frame buffer to do some image manipulation so that the thing looked like the output of some lab instrument. I'll check the DVD later to see if I can be more precise. ![]() |
