Hello people

Hello people.

I'm glad I did it, came a couple times here for the great images of Battlestar galactica, and saw the extra ships the guy's here made
Almost a half year ago I joint Zealot(Papermodels)
and a few weeks ago my boss sad to me I have to take 3d lessons for AutoCAD,
So things come together now, I getting started with 3d en perhaps build my own ships.

Greetings Theo.

Don't ask difficult questions, I'm just getting started!!

Welcome aboard

What field do you work in? I'm a drafter for an electronics company, so I often make 3D models of our products to make isometric drawings for assembly drawings etc, so I might be able to answer some questions about 3D in AutoCAD, and I'm sure there are others here who know a lot more than I do

I Thing in English it's called a "draftsman for civil engineering".

A long titel in dutch it's simple "constructie tekenaar"

The constructor calculates whats needed to keep the structure standing, and then I make the drawing so the people can build it.
It's all done in 2d, but the buildings are going to be more organic shaped or that difficult that we are forced to go 3d.

And I don't mind that!!

Welcome aboard... I too use some CAD software at work - although not AutoCad - and all 3d... I'm sure any skills you learn in AutoCad you can use here as well in other software!
