I just found this site today via yahoo search. I love it so far and I myself am becoming a serious sci-fi nut.

I am in the process of writing a scifi book and it is, in my opinion going to make it big. I am only telling you this to let you know things about me.

My questions are these: I noticed there are tutorials on the page. What exactly can you do with the tings you learn from them? Can you do the amazing art that I see flashing across the top of the screen? I would lov eto do that if it's possible.

I'm also looking to make some friends who are into scifi and would love to talk to some of you. Please email me if you wouldn't mind some conversation. Thank you.

You can go to Blender.com and download their program. It's free and decently powerful enough to do the things you see on the header of the site. Go to the tutorial page of this site and then check out the blender tutorials. Good luck

Hi Chris, welcome to the forum

About the tutorials:
All they can do is to teach you how to use your tools. The art part has to come from you! Creating a mesh is not the same as creating a good picture (That's the reason that there are waaaay more meshes than pictures

)

I second Tovette about Blender. I's a really good prog - just try it
