Sci-Fi Artist Required by small company

Hi there I run a company called Dream-Games and we are into our second year of development of our web browser game Shields-Up. It’s a project of love and devotion. (I’d be nuts by now otherwise)

Most of the programming and art work is done by yours truly with help from various sectors. We are still in a Beta stage and will be for some time.

Up till now I’ve either paid separate artists to complete small projects for me or purchased models direct from artists via Daz3d or Renderosity. (I’m not a modeler or artist but can use packages like poser / bryce to get my end effect.)

So, enough about me. On to what we now require.

I’m putting by each month a small amount to allow for some new art projects to come online, these are varied but include new space ship images, weapons, sci-fi looking items like shields generators, hull plating, scanners etc.

I generally tend to work in 256X256 bmp and then size down and use from there. So nothing too large is required and the field / subject matter is very wide.

We only need licensing from you to “use” your art in our project and will not tie the image to our project directly, so you can happily resell again should you feel the need to maintain ownership of your work.

I would ideally like an artist that is looking for some low income but fairly constant project work. As I’ve said we cant afford a fortune as this is funded directly from Beta support and my own pocket but we can now at least afford to pay an artist rather than keep purchasing models where we really only needed a single image.

So if you have time on your hands like working closely with the Dev of a Beta web browser Sci-fi game and would like to make some money as well – drop me a line.

Would be good to see some art work from you and if you would be interested in a long term relationship or just a one off project?

In the last few years we have spent thousands of $ on models to only use a single image from the models purchased so I’m now looking for an artist to produce those images. Our demand for art work will only grow as does the game and once we go live an artist working for us can expect to be offered plenty of work.

could you be more specific as what you need?...what format are you model in!?...how much $$ per render basicaly?..

Do you need renders of other stuff too, like planets / stars / nebulas and various environments or is it just tech-gizmos ?!
