Downloads: 0 Uploads: 0 | Artists required for digital book project NO LONGER OPEN - POSTS FILLED Artists required for Digital Art book project Esferico ltd. are looking for digital artists for a digital art book project. Details of the project can not be released at present because: i. it is commercial in confidence and; ii. there are four themes and the final theme has not yet been decided. The requirements of this project are based upon two stages. Stage 1 The current stage is the use of one or more artists, coupled with internal artwork produced by Esferico, as part of an exploratory exercise. The artwork produced in this phase must be of final, commercial quality as it will be incorporated in the final stage without modification.Stage 2 The final stage of the project will be the use of one or more further artists in the preparation of further digital artwork for the final product. By this stage, the method and limitations of the publication will be known. The stage represents the full, final assembly of the publication.Finance For at least several months, this project is an exploratory exercise (though with every intention / probability of continuing). Finance is closely connected with the three levels of artist that will ultimately be involved.Profiles All profiles will include listings of the pieces produced for the book, skills range and contact information.Application If you are interested in any of these posts, please contact Sphynx by PM. Sphynx will provide you with an email address where you must send three examples of your completed work.Discussion OK, from my point of view (Sphynx) none of these posts are 'in-house' - they are all work from home. In many ways, it is best to view these posts as a second-income or even leisure-time posts for extra cash, and not as a true 'income' role. While a one off payment will be made for artwork for artists in the approprate catagories, this payment will be small - at most a hundred pounds each subject. In all ways, the benefits of being an artist on the project should come from the latter rewards: essentially Exposure, Royalties, and seeing your work in print. To give a basic hint - at least one of the themes in discussion (the most likely) will probably result in the book being not only on the shelves of individuals, but also organisations and corporates. If you want to envisage the nature of the project (without reading too much into the theme), look to books such as Expose (Ballistic Publishing) and Syd Meads' Sentinel series (Oblagon Publishing). Chances are that there will be little, or at least second-priority, amounts of text. Remember that while this may ultimately go out as an e-book (the least likely option, but always a possibility), this is being initially envisaged as a printed product - as such, high resolution renders would be the norm. At this stage there is a faint (and I mean faint) chance that a CD or DVD may accompany the piece, therefore also introducing the possibility of animated work. Note: This post has been placed in both the paid work and project recruitment area due to the dual nature of artist requirments. |

| When you love a pet, loosing it is like loosing a part of your soul. I lost part of mine on Feb 12 2008. Never will it be the same again. | |

For those who have already shown a specific interest, I've made the website available through which all work will be undertaken. I can't say too much more here, as it is still a bit commercial in confidence, but it involves rubber-band, near future science to produce real-world (i.e. feasible) designs and scenes in which they are displayed. If people are seriously interested, and feel that they can produce commercial quality work, then drop me a PM and I'll provide the website address. |

Downloads: 0 Uploads: 0 | Just an update. We had about 40 artists from various websites show interest in this but today we selected the artists that would go through and be part of the first stages of exploration for the book. 4 artists were selected who are members of SFM, another 2 from Military-Meshes.com. If you have not already got a PM from me, I am afraid that you were not selected for this stage of the book. That does not however, restrict you from submitting artwork for the later stages of the book. Hopefully, in a few months time, we'll be back and demonstrate some of the work that we've been doing in the meantime. |
