I prefer the colour, very nice shot. Quite handy that streetlight huh? hehe

On a serious note, when I've been shooting at night, using the extra-long exposure settings on my camera, it tends to look much brighter. Think it has something to do with more light being able to get into the lense (that's my completley un-official, un-technical, common-sense answer!) hehe

Pray to any god that hears you

Well, when you do a long exposure, depending on the exposure time, the light conditions and what F stop you are shooting at the brightness of the picture can very a lot.

Also the type of camera you use can have an effect. This was shot on a Canon EOS 10D, 6 megapixel camera. With digital cameras you get a LOT of noise when you do long exposures. The imaging sensor cannot handel long exposures very well. There is noise in this image, but I ran some reduction on it in photoshop.

I dont usually shoot digital. I was borrowing my friends camera. Usually I shoot 35mm slides on a Nikon N90s or 120mm B&W in my Holga.
