| PTGui Test - London Trip 2005 I drug out my raw images from our trip to London in 2005, to test how they'd work in PTGui, since we're heading to Las Vegas in a week, and will be visiting the grand canyon (Can you say WIDE panorama??) Windsor castle is pretty straight forward. 3 shots stitched w/o a hitch. The London Eye Birds-Eye shot is what's impressive. We took 6 hand-held images, each time moving to a new position to not catch the frame of the gondola in the image, and we're in a moving ride. (ie, forget about a constant pivot point) Notice there's no (or very little) reflection off the glass either. The Petrol Depot fire can be seen in the distance on the right. [edit] You know you're in trouble, when the picture of Al's Cat's ass gets more response than your own [/edit] |

| Well, Vegas trip was a blast. Grand Canyon, Mme Tusssaud's Wax Museum, Cirque de Soleil KŔ, and 4 non-stop days at the TrekCon 2007. As promised, I took s'more panoramas while there, and PTGui did a particularly good job on this one. It's about 10 images, in 2 rows, to get the most vertical visibility. It does a fine job, but I think I like Panorama Factory better, especially for neat crops, and QTVR output. |
