works greath with windows. but in a studio environement, they are not so usefull since they remove to much of the glossy look. and at 75$ for a 52mm one, i can't imagine what the price will be for 77mm one. ahaha.

Nice Al....my backdrop paper isn't nearly wide enough to get decent shots except maybe if I shot 50mm+! Besides which all-black axes aren't the most forgiving subjects, ya know?

$68 for a normal width one (72CP Tiffen 72mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter), around $120 for a thin one for wide-angle though...

THanks alex....you think black is hard..try a sunburst..LOL. to shoot a black on white is not to hard, it just need to be fully covered in white. that's the hard part actually..ahahaha

i would'nt be cought dead with a Tiffen filter on a 1700$ lens. nothing else then that realy.

Can't say I've had any problems with my Tiffen either, to be totally honest. I'd like to say I think B&W Filters are worth up to £200 a pop, but unfortunately, I don't think they are.
