Thanks Greggles. Underexposure is luckily easy to fix by adjusting one or two sliders in Lightroom. Nifty tool. Overexposure, well, that's hell. Hey, that was rhyme!

Yeah, I quite like Lightroom, has the advantage of being both PC and Mac friendly too. I'm going to try out Aperture next, and I'll probably invest in one or the other after my holidays this year.

Apparently so. Those who use and like aperture say the interface is a bit more intuitive and easily accessible, but I've also heard it said that to get the best from it you need at least two 30" screens- which will count against it seeing as I plan to use it primarily on the laptop.
