Some makros ... (Second update, more LOTR figures)

Some stuff I did ... Got a S6500fd a few weeks back, didn't have too much time to try it out. Couple of pics though. Today I got a Raynox DCR-250 Super Macro lens, the "upclose" ones where made with ... Pretty nice for a 50€ snap-on lens.

Looking awsomw man.

When you love a pet, loosing it is like loosing a part of your soul. I lost part of mine on Feb 12 2008. Never will it be the same again.

Thanks Al.

I just made a few more, I kinda like them. It's the Argonath statues that came with the Lord of the Rings Collector's Edition. Gollum and Minas Tirith from the other two Collector's boxes will follow tomorrow ...

Max zoom would have been this:

Need a dust though.

Nice work, and Fuji compacts and bridges are usually top-notch when it comes to Macro work.

Heh cheers guys. Greggles - 6500fd is quite nice for macros, got one problem though. In "Supermacro" mode, you'll have to get very, VERY close to the object. If it touches the lens you're close enough ... with the Raynox DCR-250 that's fixed -and- it offers quite a massive extra magnification, too ...

So, you have been warned ... here's the other two miniatures. Not quite as nice as the Argonath but not bad either.

Those Gollum shots are great- the perspective and DoF completely belies the size of the subject. Only crit is that the face closeup (3rd pic of the Gollum sequence) is a little underexposed, could do with a bit of postwork I think, might be fixable.
