London 2007

Hi guys, just a quick post here, these are literally hot off the card. I've not really sat down and looked them through, but there's been a couple of people asking if I shot anything while I was down there to see Prince at the o2 on the 11th for my birthday, so I figured I'd post a couple of bits and bobs.

We had a great weekend, saw most the sights, and the o2 Arena (formerly the Millenium Dome, for those not in the UK) was amazing, and surprisingly reasonably priced considering its location- I'd recommend it to anyone thinking of heading down there.

These pics are straight from the card- so they're not perfect. I'll sit down and see if any of them need anything when I have a little bit more spare time.

Shame about the shadow though.

No question is a stupid question if you don't know the answer - If you need help (and you can find us), ask the (Sens)A-Team.

Love the pic of the church, amazing contrast in architecture. Beautiful.

Craig: yeah, bit of a pity- blame Lloyds TSB and Richard Rogers though, there wasn't a lot I could do about it once I'd ruled out moving the building, amd moving the sun.

John: Yeah, the whole of London City is like that- just around the corner from there you've got Tower 42 (Formerly NatWest, and the tallest building in London City- only recently supplanted by the awfulness that is Canada Square) and just before you get to St Mary's Axe you've got the Church of St Olaves, a real old-fashioned CoE church dating from the mid 1400's that always manages to freak regular church afficionados out because the entry gate has skulls carved into the stonework. According to local stories, Samuel Pepys and Charles Dickens would frequent it, the latter referring to it as "The Church of Ghastly Grim". I've got a pic of it, but just like this one here, it's a bit shadowed, I'll see just how bad it is over the course of the next couple of days.

Thanks guys.
