Trying my hand at this photography thing with a beautiful model...

Hey guys, very long time no see. I finally got to spend some time with my lovely lady and I took a few pictures. I'm not a very good photographer and my camera is a very cheap Kodak. Still, my lady makes anything look good.

These are my favorite shots.

I call her Detour. I bought her last November from a guy who's son wrecked her. I spent all of Febuary and the first week of March replacing the trunk lid, rear quarter, tailpanel, gas tank, and rear valance. She's still not complete but honestly classic cars never are.

For those interested, here's a shot of the damage I started with: http://www.kservers.net/route66/imag...r/PA270004.jpg

And here's the repaired body:

For her next photoshoot I'm going to try to get her down by the docks or on the beach. I'm voting for the beach because girls LOVE Mustangs

Good shots, I'm no expert, but on a composition point, She is a powerful machine, so instead of looking down on her, which makes her look less powerful, I'd look at some angles where you get down as low as you can, have that grille tower over you.

And get one of those beach babes behind the wheel (after you've already photographed her on the hood, naturally!)

On a road, try to find some skid marks (I won't tell you to make 'em yourself, that would be irresponsible!) and give it the impression that you have just burnt rubber.

And try a twilight shot, with the car's lights on - head on.

Finally, I think she'd look great as a shilouette with the setting sun going down behind her.

Thanks for the input Monkey. I'll definately put those ideas to use. Especially the part about the beach babe, except she doesn't belong on the hood. Girls do not belong on cars, I don't care how petite and hot they are

Unfortunately she can't much in the way of burnout marks herself. The engine is powerful but I've got the original gears in the back so I have no acceleration. She's built for top speed at the moment but it'll change after my 66 Nova is finished. http://uploads.m-cgi.com/kennyz/nova...8/P2090002.jpg

I'm already planning places to take her to take pictures. I think I'm addicted to it

Nice car. But you did check (had checked) if the frame is still okay, right? Crashes like that can bend a frame pretty easily, especially old frames ...

Still, very nice!

Thank you, she's a 66. I've got a thing for 66's it seems. I have two Mustang coupes and a Nova all 66

Thankfully the frame wasn't damaged. The impact was dead center on the gas cap. All measurements put the frame within tolerances and I used my other coupe (never wrecked, just very rusty) as a reference point. If she had hit the pole 1 foot in either direction she would of been totalled or at least cost a pretty penny to repair. As it stands I was able to repair and upgrade her for a little less than purchase price.
