Botany Bay

It was originally a CG ship, then it was 3D printed by a friend of mine, Max Mills, and he sent it to me to make a kit out of. The parts arrived and the surface had the texture of a sugar cube, so I smoothed it all out, cast it and built one. This is 1/350 scale.

The raw parts.

After cleaning them up and putting all the surface details on, including a lot of little scratchbuilt pieces.

The finished kit cast in resin.

Built and primered.

And here's the finished piece painted up.

Kits of this are available, it's in the same scale as the MR Enterprise.

Very nice! ...Especially the painting and weathering. Is this going to go with another plastic model in the same scale?

Here it is displayed next to the Master Replicas Enterprise. It's also in scale with all the Polar Lights 1/350 kits.

Very good.
I like this ship and would like to place it in a 3D render, does anyone has the CG file available?
Thanks.

39 years old and your still making models ( great i'm 38 and still doing it too ) great model. i once had it made from card, but small children and card models don't work well together.

Why won't this work !
