Alien Mask Sculpt

Been doing some non CG work, getting my hands into some real sculpting, long time since I've done anything like this. Anyway started what will eventually become a latex mask of an Alien.

Still in the very early stages, not got a complete design in my head yet but it may end up looking something like this Alien I made in Mudbox a while back.

I'm sculpting this out of Newplast Plasticine over a polystyrene head shape.

Very 'First Men in the Moon'-ish. Is this to go with your moonship?

No question is a stupid question if you don't know the answer - If you need help (and you can find us), ask the (Sens)A-Team.

Not 100% sure what'll happen with it when it's done. I've ideas for a short SF film later in the year, if it's not too bad he might end up as a background character.
Hey Sphinx, maybe he a Selenite who was away on holiday and when he gets back to the Moon he finds his entire race wiped out by the common cold.

I like...i Like

I see your sculpting on the old "Styrofoam" head rig :P...i remember those, fun days when the clay and plaster would eat right through it all...

Whats the clay your using?...standard pottery clay, Plastaline or something else?

I'm using Newplast Plasticine for this sculpt.

Here's a bit of an update.
