| Tie Fighter For me one of my favourite craft in the Star Wars films is the Tie Fighter. The first clip I ever seen of Star Wars was the Millenium Falcon escaping from the Death Star and the Tie Fighters attacking. I just loved the design of the ship, those cool black helmets the pilots wore, and that unmistakable sound effect as the fighters flew by. And even though the following films in the original trilogy added new Imperial ships the standard Tie Fighter appeared in all 3 films as one of the main ships in the Imperial navy and my favourite of the bunch. This is a model I made many years ago that I recently dug out and figured I'd do a picture with. This model was from the was that the AMT kit, that included 2 identical TIE's, I gave the other model to a mate to build. |
