Modular Star Hauler scratch build WIP

I guess since I have only looked at the purdy grafic's the rest have done at this site it's only fair i show some of the projects i work on (from time to time when the mood strikes - or I have an idea where to glue the next part).

So I thought i would start with one of my Star Wars scratch builds WIP's.

since I normally post links to my photobucket account, I don't really know how to post the pictures so they show up so please bare with me...

these pictures are from 2-7-08, it shows the detailing of the aft hull section, mainly the engine area.

these are from 2-8-08 and show some of the detailing i did to the lower saucer section

these are from 2-9-08 and show the start of the brim trench around the saucer section. it wasn't until after i had detailed a good bit of the trench that i realised it's just a bit too tall. i should have made it about .015" shorter - oh well..... these pictures are of thelast time i did any work on the scratch build from 2-28-08, the pictures show a bit more detailing to the lower saucer section and where i was trying to choose what dome to put on the bottom. the domes were turned by my friend Ralph who has done a lot of masters for me. I did have a photo account with Epson, but they closed their site. just before that happened, my main hard drive crapped out and lost the pictures of when i first started this build. I thought i copied them from the site, so i'll have to go and look for them some time and post them online again.

I will be starting threads showing some other WIP's

When finsihed, this WIP will become a master pattern for molding and then produced. It is in 1:10,000 scale (or 10k scale as i call if for short) to go along with the rest of the fleet I offer
