sorry I haven't been on fong, worked alot of overtime this week and got sick thursday. I've slept most of the last 2 days. Your fic is alright. But "beyond the red line" is subjective to the ship your on. It means making a jump further then your safety measures allow for. So its not an exact place in the BSG universe. You might change it to read the "Armistice Line." Which is the border between Colonial and Cylon space.

I'm sorry, I can't follow you, no idea what are you talking about.

He's saying that the red line is a jump distance limit rather than a Colonial exploration limit. However, there is no evidence from the show to support the jump distance theory, and the dialogue actually implies that it is an exploration limit. Anyway, the art is really cool, though I noticed on that you really don't stick to squadron numbers launch tubes. Basically, you should have 20 launch tubes for one squadron, but instead there's lots of wierd numbers. I like your little lightstar Atari, btw.

Fong I read your fic and I don't think you used the term "red line" correctly. I've been going by battlestar wiki which seems to be up on most things BSG related.

from your fic

"The Battlestar Phoenix slid across the dual stars that formed the Binary Star Cluster 45593-BS, one of the few which was actually mapped beyond the red line."

Red Line - Battlestar Wiki

The Red Line is an imaginary sphere enclosing a vessel which denotes the maximum safe limit for an FTL jump.[1] It is described in an early draft of the script for the Miniseries as follows:

"There are computational errors in every jump. The further out you jump, the greater the error. Jump past the Red Line and it may be almost impossible to find your way back."

So your usage would be incorrect in that sentence. Sorry if it seemed out of the blue, I just wanted to give you that peice of advice.

Oh, I see, I forgot about that part, my mistake...

I always thought the 'Red Line' was the region of unexplored space by the 12 Colonies.

Thanks for the tip.

Hi fong, sorry its been so long. I added the Gennadius water color you did to the story. But the other pics are too big. Also if you want to scale one down I can put it as a header image and it will show up beside the post in the forum. Also all the images need your credits on them. Thanks man for doing this it really helps the story alot. I'm working on some ideas now for the next part to the story.

No probby mate, Im trying to do a pixelart of your Gennadius (Im getting some serious scale issues, it may take a while). Just credit the pics in your fic page, Im too lazy to add my credit/sig on the pic. :-)

Luck in your fic

I made need to scale them down and convert to a different format to get them under the sites size limit. So long as that's ok with you. I actually haven't been writing, but I've got some ideas for the story worked out in my head, so maybe this weekend will see an update with a few more pages.
