Learning project ('web-comic') invitation for artists

It was a little bit of a toss-up as to whether this should go in the Sensei forums or general requests - as this is partly invitation to a learning exercise, and partly an invitation to form a team of artists to build a dark web-comic or PDF based document with intent of possibly, at some time in the future, developing it into an animation.

I've decided to put it here in order to initially gather a small team together. Ultimately, the results of this project will appear in the BlenderHeadMovies site, but also a tutorial in the Sensei forums for members to follow.

The Intended Product
It is initally aimed at Blender users, but there will be elements of concept, design and post-production that may be open to others as well. Members who wish to join should be in a position where a wide range of experience will be available - you will not just be dealing with SF for example, you will need to think about everything from traditional street-cafe sets, to steam-punk engines, to exotic EM pulse generators. Chances are that for ease of production, Poser figures will be used as the base characters which will be imported then modified / clothed within our own Blender environment.

Once the sets are created, images will be rendered in colour for posterity but then reduced back to a film-noir style using post-production (sometimes straight to film-noir, if the render requires / suits it). Each image will then be placed into a traditional comic-frame style. Again therefore, there are possibilities for 2D artists to enter the frame as well.
The Project Story
The project is based upon a near future environment (say a couple of hundred years), following a catastrophic failure in society caused by a mixture of terrorism, nuclear and 'bacterial' attacks that have reduced much of society to something just above a medieval society. The environment ranges from sinister and macabre to steam-punk and medieval - as such, there is plenty of opportunity for member-artists to explore possibilities. As a general styling, think of a mix of English civil war and dark-Victorian gothic horror.

Rather than make this post too large, a little scene-setting background and a short-story chapter style introduction can be found here > Project <. This story has already appeared within SFM's written work section.
Time-Line and Payment
As this is being run partly for fun and partly as a learning exercise, there is of course no payment other than the ability to exercise your skills and learn new ones. As I've already said, the results of this will hopefully be integrated into a tutorial in the Sensei forums.

Time line wise, I'm busy myself at present so this is being started very early so that a good period of concept, design and discussion can take place in order to allocate everybody the best areas at a later date. There will be plenty to do, as I want the digital sets to be fully populated - that may mean that newcommers / learners start with minor set props and progress to larger components as their skills increase.
Participation
If anyone is interested, post here or PM me.

No question is a stupid question if you don't know the answer - If you need help (and you can find us), ask the (Sens)A-Team.

Thanks Ramiel - a second sensei onboard for the 2D stuff would be a great bonus.
