Star Trek: Intrepid looking for CG assistance.

Star Trek: Intrepid is a fanfilm set during the post-Nemesis time period. We've currently finished and released our pilot episode, and are looking for additional CG animators to help with future installments.

Our website can be found at Star Trek: Intrepid if anyone would like to check us out.

There are a number of areas that we're looking to improve, and we'd dearly love to increase the number of effects shots for future productions, but to do that we really need additional people helping out on that front.

We are not able to offer monetary compensation for any work, but full credit would be given, and you'd get to help out on a generally fun project. You'd also receive our gratitude and friendship, the value of which is probably open to debate.

Of course, if that's not enough, anyone who was willing to volunteer their services could potentially benefit from some good exposure, since we've experienced some fairly major media coverage in the last year, all of it upbeat.

If anyone would like to discuss things further, you're more than welcome to email me at info@ussintrepid.net or to reply here.

Thank you.
Nick Cook
Producer, Star Trek: Intrepid

Hi Nick. I can´t help you myself for obvious reasons (unless you manage to talk Rob into sharing) but let me at least wish you good luck. I really liked your first episode (obviously a work of love) and it should serve as a good example of all the groundwork you have already done.

Somebody blow something up, I'm in a really bad mood. Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm... I did note the lack of credits on the trailer however :P

Everyone who contributed meshes was asked for permission and given credit on the finished product. But no, there are no credits of any kind on the trailer. Credits were posted on the website, though these are admittedly somewhat out of date now. So apologies if we've missed anyone; I assure you it was inadvertent.

so far all I taken time to download is the trailer..
and I agree that you do need CG assistance as well as maybe help in other areas.

Other areas such as sound and lighting, are already being dealt with for next time. All I'm looking for here is help with CG, though thank you for your insight.

Hmm I'd actually have to pick up the animation section of the manual first

I'll have a look at the thing tomorrow, but it's looking very good. Good luck with the project!

Visit my Endless Pluto Station project, I'm still working on it, honest!

The biggest thing that screams at me is the fact that you have several types of Uniforms on board the Intrepid. But that is more a prop/customing problem rather than CG.

The Intrepid appears actually be going backwards when it fires the Torpedoes, and the tumbling casings just looked wrong. In the very start up you show the Enterprise D as it appeared in All Good things. This ship while cannon, was never built.

OH btw James Doohan was Canadian not scottish
