CG ship(s)

I'm working on a project with an old buddy: a star wars fan film, for lack of more compelling terms. You can watch a short clip (1:16s) of a long action 'gauntlet' sequence here (photbucket):

While you may notice many things lacking , the one thing I need most are ships to fill in over the animatics, and to interact with the characters in the live footage. The bad guy runs up a gangplank (aka 'that inclined table in the shot with the spotter's head sorta visible'), sits down at the controls and begins to attack Aarac (the handsome young jedi ;-p) with the ship's cannons. Aarac manages to deflect one blast back into the repulsor pad, and it skids to a halt. The bad guy then jumps out and hot-wires a cannon to continue firing. How does it end? Help me out, and I'll let you know...

The model will be used all over before & after this scene, and I can do the animation parts myself (I'm using an old version of 3D max at this point). I've got a star-trek-TNG-shuttle-craft-looking proxy model in my working project, and the idea is that the bad guys have commandeered a security police SWAT-type attack vehicle, to give some more ideas what it should look like.

We've got a killer little movie coming to gether here, but my skills as a modeller are just not up to par, especially given the talent all of you out there could bring to bear on this...

Please help, credit will be given,
-drew

the "run" sequence at 1:06 looks like you are shadow boxing, if you can reshoot that shot I would recommend it. the cannon with the drill box was ok, the camera angels change too much, it is all greenscreen so the viewer has little point of reference, good luck with your project!

Yeah, my co-(etc.) is doing the 1st edit, he wanted a long shot of the running pantomime, and the longest one was the last take. I was already pretty worn out from the 10 takes prior. I thought it looked like I was limping, but after another look with the imaginary scenery in my mind switched off, you're right. Thanks for the feedback.
