Time Machine v2

So how about I never could come up with a time machine design I liked??? I need help in the worst way!!!

What I wanted out of this was something that looks ultra high-tech, advanced a hundred years past the science of 2375. I wanted it to look like it could answer to either the description of a "weapon" or a "generator," with a base (generator) and a long tube (weapon). I want the tube to raise and lower, as well as to rotate along its X axis. I'm also looking for one end of it to have a neat-looking control panel attached to it (this one doesn't necessarily have to look like a Trek invention). I want this to be a parody of metal and glass, with parts that light up and some kind of central power cell.

And that's it!!! I'm throwing the floor open for submissions in any format (OBJ is preferred, but I can also make use of MAX). I could never get a satisfactory design before, so I'm upping the ante--where before I was only offering one of my virtual sets to the winner, this time I'm offering FIVE (BR6 format).

Let the games begin!
