Aresius, sorry I did not reply to your post earlier. We haven’t got any voice actors yet, as it a bit early to get them. But if you could recorded some dialog, and post it up so we can have listen, it can be anything you want, just needs to be in English. It will help toward you getting the job.

Where still looking for 2d Concept artist, and we needs someone to do a storyboard. Once the story will be flashed out.

Thanks for the offer; we need someone to model some of the characters. What application do you use?

my modelling app of choice is cinema 4d. not a first choice for such tasks, since it isn't very common, but I think, it'll do the trick.
I can also provide skills with zbrush and mapping/texturing for these parts.
could do rigs, but they aren't exportable.

Safe@2nd, if you could show some examples that would be great.
This is one of the first pieces I wrote for a competition on the Firefly Website. I think it still holds up but may be a little too exclusive to Firefly. Assumes the reader has seen the show, so the ending may be a bit confusing.

Ariel News:

Today’s breaking story:

The remains of what was once the Intersun Intergalactic Passenger Liner was discovered by an independent Firefly class cargo ship. While there were no survivors, among the personal effects recovered by the crew of the cargo ship, was a recording made by a local reporter.

Be warned that the following recording has not been screened. Remember, this exclusive recording is brought to you by your friends... The Ariel News.

“*static* *whispered voice* Hello? I hope someone finds this... I hope someone finds me...*sob* uummm....ok...pull it together...the world has to know...THEY exist!! Reavers are real!!They took this ship during night cycle. What woke me wasn’t noise; it was the complete and utter lack of. It was like waking in a tomb. No light, no sound only the smell of decay. At first I wasn’t sure whether I was dreaming or awake. Sound slowly came back, but what I heard was no more comforting. When I opened the door, the flickering emergency lights in the hallway were no improvement over the dark. I ventured out into the hallway to see if any of the other passengers knew what was happening...damn reporters instinct is gonna get me killed! I tried a few doors but they were locked and there was no answer to my calls. The noises were unsettling... scurrying, scratching, crashes and screams in the distance. But what was the most unsettling was the occasional high pitched maniacal laughter. It didn’t sound human...almost animal. The fourth door I tried was unlocked but only slid halfway open. The smell hit me like a sledgehammer. It was as dark in there as it was in my cabin. I could hear what sounded like wet burlap ripping and some shuffling. What I saw next will haunt me for the rest of my days... a childhood nightmare come to life... a walking human jigsaw puzzle straight out of hell turned and looked at me, eyes glowing. I was frozen to the spot. The laughter broke the trance. I hit the close button and ran for my life. I heard a heavy crash behind me, but apparently the door held, for now, and I wasn’t looking back to see.

So here I am, locked in my room, hiding like a child in my closet. Please somebody help me....wait...what’s that...*shuffling and scratching*

*hoarse whisper*...The door’s opening...the light!! Thank god you’re here Captain!! Captain? Please stop shining the light in my eyes…*sound of flashlight falling to the floor* Captain?? Come closer to the light please...OH LORD IN HEAVEN!!!

*Piercing scream diminishing to a gurgle*”

Dear God!Cut to music!!! NOW!!! And who let these guys in??

Now is not a good time, I don’t care what you’re selling.

Cut to music now Gorramit!!

Blue gloves boys?? I already had that examination. Go sell crazy somewhere else. If you haven't just heard...I've had crazy up to my eyeballs today. Now GET OUT of my booth!!

Strong silent types eh? For the last time, will somebody get these goofs and their little flashlight thingy outta my booth!!

*music*

Here's another little snipet from some more recent stuff. A contribution for a friend of mine.

"The wind curls the ash into a dust devil that reaches towards the heavens, but falls short of the mark. Perhaps a specter of the spirts that haunt this greusome scene. Needy doesn't see it though. He stares blankly at the figure at his feet. Questions bubblying slowly up in his head. Where were the others? Did he really really want to find them? Could his tattered soul withstand yet another tear?

The flapping of cloth being animated by the wind rouses Needy from his thoughts. He squints against the ash, searching for the source of the noise. In the distance a figure crouches on a low hill. A black cape or torn overcoat snaps in the wind behind him. His head bowed, a broad rimmed hat covers his eyes. His hand grips the handle of a sword, who's tip is buried in the ground, like he's holding on for dear life. Before him Needy can make out a small group of crudely fashioned crosses."

Needy approached the figure. He walked slowly and delibrately, his feet stirring up the ash with each step. The figure never acknowledged Needy's presence. It was as if the figure was cast from stone.
Finally standing beside the figure, Needy still didn't speak. Words seemed heavy and useless. Needy looked down at the crosses that the figure knelt before and found his questions answered. He had found them. Seryn, Wisp, Jack, Versa, Citizen and Rosie. Even the children, they were all there. Needy couldn't bear to look at the small crosses next to the larger ones.

The figure finally moved. It took a moment for Needy to register it, but when he did, he looked down and found himself staring into Soul's eyes. Eye's that spoke to him of dispair, anger and loss.
Soul spoke one word and he might as well have stabbed Needy through the heart with his sword.
"You..."

@ specs2, to be honest, my knowable of transferring meshes for one application to another is not great, but I do have people that know, so they can advise me. As I understand it, exporting the basic model to another application should not be to hard with out, textures’ and the like. So you maybe able to help. You've already got access to the project area. So at this stage, all I can say keep an eye on what going on, you may be able to help in other areas. I will keep you in mind.

@ Safe@2nd, When I have got a moment to read what you have posted, I will. I let you know what the happens. Thanks for posting that up.

@ Norman, Thanks for the offer. I sure I can find something for you to do.

@ All, I am putting together a list of everyone that has offered to help, and in what area. Where still looking for people so if you think you can help. Just post here.

Thanks.

I do character modeling in Blender. I'd be interested in knowing more.

I can't go into to much deatils, but the short a skinny is to make a short and if that is a success, do somthing a little bigger.
I can tell you that the working titile is "Feinders Keepers"

It's a play on words, Feinder is the name Andrew March come up with for the lead character, or head of the team. It is Sci-fi, and will be a CG film.

I can't tell you much more. as we are still developing the story.

I'm gonna make a record tomorrow, currently there's too much noise 'round me.

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...

That's why I've became a Warrior of Heart, Defend the one you like, Guard the one you love...

Aresius, cool I look forward to hearing it.

Safe@2nd, I liked the second one more, as I did not get the ending to the first one, but then I have not seen Firefly. How are you writing in a script format?
