Joint Physical/3D Model Project

Greetings, I am planning to start a modeling project and since I have frequented this forum when looking for inspiration I thought I would see if anyone here would be interested in helping me design a scifi spaceship that I would be building scale models of.

Basically what I'm looking for is a 3D modeler who has some spare time on their hands and would like to own a physical model that is the result of their 3D work.

I was planning to design something that is close to present time manned spaceflight, but still scifi. Imagine ISS meets Firefly kind of thing. What I had in mind was a space freighter of some sort (again, Firefly comes to mind), although I'm open to new ideas. So far I've been looking at everything from satellites and aircraft to scifi movie/series ships (BSG, Firefly, Star Wars).

The main model I'm planning to build would be about 8-12" in size (20-30cm), mainly built of styrene (evergreen styrene sheets/rods etc) with bits and piece of wood and metal (piano wire, balsa wood). For YOU (the 3D modeler/s) I'd like to build a slightly smaller scale model (4-6" / 10-15cm) out of the same materials. I'd be paying materials and shipping of course.

My 3D skills are quite lacking, I've done some basic stuff in Wings 3d (free 3d program) just to try out different design ideas before building models, so YOU would be doing most of the 3D work. I'd get cool 3D shots of the spaceship, and you'd get a cool little model to put on your desk.

That's about it, if anyone is interested and wants to see some of my previous work, feel free to check it out here and here. I've mostly done small/tiny scale stuff so far and want to broaden my horizons a bit, keep in mind that the larger the model the more detailed it will be.

If you are interested or have any questions, go ahead and reply here or send me a pm.
