Here's a link to the site

you might have to register, but it's worth it just to get the links to Mick tutorials

Sorry to hear about your trouble with DAZ.
It was a few potential customers who were complaining that things weren't what they expected for they price of the product, I just got a bit fed up with a few of them.

Well if I can help out with the conversions just give me a shout.

This is a great idea!

I haven't been spending much time here lately - December is always hellishly busy for me in the Real World - but, depending how long this project continues, I may actually contribute something here (while I have never found my spaceship constructs anywhere near good enough to share with you folks!)

Several years ago, when my mother passed away quite quickly, I turned my 3D graphics attention to some architectural constructs for a while - my "inner shrink" suggests that I was seeking some sort of 'order' and 'structure' as a retreat from the chaos of the Real World at the time...

Unfortunately for this present project, my tool of choice at the time was primarily Bryce - which restricts my ability to share the output over here. Now, I'm using C4D and modo, so my offerings will have more widespread utility...

Nonetheless, if you're looking for some more inspiration, I would suggest you check out the gallery of Kevin Cappis over at Renderosity...

Renderosity Digital Art Community - Gallery: Browse

Kevin's work was certainly an incentive to me at that time - he's been making beautiful fantasy/SF cityscapes for a number of years now!

Cheers!

DUDE !!! You still know Bryce ??? I have another project i'm working on. And I could use at least 1 character for my new show i'm slowing getting together. I can't model a Human character at all. But, like you, I use C4D. And I know you can import Bryce characters into C4D. I have done it. What I need is someone to make a character for my Star Trek project. which means they need a uniform. I can animate the character using C4Ds version of BONES. But I dont have time to make the characters I need.

Now I read you said your busy this time of year. I understand that. So I can wait for a little while. But if you would be willing to help that would be great.

No one is being paid for this, this is going to be an online Star Trek show. Look in my sig below and you will see that I just started this project (Even though the idea and Storyline I have been working on for a few years).

Again, any help would be appriciated.

Sorry to everyone else. I know this thread is not for this conversation, but he just happen to be here in this thread... (Digital I - My thread for this is in the project recruitment under Star Trek - Future, thanks.)

I was thinking last night, with the number of people that want to contribute to this project, that individual credits would make any image just basically full of credits.

So I was thinking how would everyone feel about just having a single credit for "future city team" or making the credit an url, that points to a list of all the names that contributed to the buildings?

I can put a credits page on my website. Let me know what you want. Even if you want to put it somewhere else, I still want to post a credits page for the city. Get with me ASAP.

One other thing... If you do want your picture and credits on my page, goto my website and click on the CONTACT button. E-mail me the name you want and then let me know where I can get your finished picture. (I'm also setting my site up so you can upload your own picture and mesh. But I just started on my site. So give me some time on that.)

Jimmy, I know you are enthusiastic about this project, but theres no need for you to reply every single time someone other than you posts in this thread.

Thanks for your offer of web space, but we are nowhere near ready for that yet, and when we are, I'll take care of it.
