For those of you unfamiliar with Wing Commander Saga, please feel free to take a look at our website: Wing Commander Saga - Home Wing Commander Saga is a fan project based on the popular video game series, Wing Commander. Wing Commander Saga is set during the Wing Commander 3 timeline, during the final months of the epic conflict between the Terran Confederation and the Kilrathi Empire, and features a new story and new characters while staying as faithful as possible to established Wing Commander canon. Our prologue campaign received wide recognition online and in gaming magazines. Feel free to try the prologue at: Wing Commander Saga - Release We are now hard at work on the full campaign, which features dozens of missions in a branching campaign. We are seeking 2D artists, 3D artists, and animators who can help us accelerate our production speed. To get an idea of the current in-game visuals, visit our gallery at: Wing Commander Saga - Gallery - Category: Screenshots Joining Wing Commander Saga will provide you with an excellent opportunity to enhance your resume by getting your work out to a very large audience. You will also get to work with a team of other artists, programmers, and actors, so you won't be pulling the weight of the project by yourself. To join the team, 2D artists should be able to: 1) Draw diffuse, specular, self-illumination, and normal maps. The main focus of 2D art will be on starship hull plating, with mostly a focus on enhancing current schemes. 2) Draw nebula textures. 3) Draw weapon effects. For 3D artists: 1) There are no specific requirements. Our program of choice is 3d Studio Max though, so previous knowledge with this program will certainly be helpful. We would prefer artists who can at least use a program that can export to 3d SM. Possible art assignments include interior starfighter cockpits, starbases, and starships. Animators should be able to create: 1) special effects (like explosions) 2) space animations (nebulae, solar flares, general space-themed animations) Please send inquiries and samples to our project lead, Tolwyn, at Tolwyn@gmxpro.net .
