Star Trek: Phoenix - New Fan Series

Star Trek: Phoenix is a new fan series with a scheduled premiere of January 1, 2009. The series is set in the future some 42 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis, in the year 2421.

I am looking for CGI individuals, 3D modelers, etc for the show. I am going to spend the month of May recruiting for the show so we can enter pre-production in June, if not earlier.

I already have one lead 3D modeler who has been working on the hero ship. He has 90% of the model complete and has the texturing/etc at 43% complete. We are going to be introducing new ships in this series, new technology, new everything.

The show will be filmed in Seattle, Washington. If you know of others that would be interested in learning more about the show or volunteering, please visit the website - Star Trek: Phoenix "From the ashes of time comes the birth of a new saga"

Thank you!!!

This is the project that took me away from my Enterprise G and J. The new ship that I am working on is different from any federation ship scene so far. It is both radical in design, while still keeping that familiar federation look.
I know alot of you are thinking that this is just another Star Trek fanfic like many others before, but we want this one to be different on so many levels. The quality of animation is going to be as close as movie quality that my computer can make it. We are including as many details as possible to immerse the viewers into the series including a technical manual on the new ship. The story line is going to have so many levels and is returning the story back to it's roots of what Star Trek is supposed to be.

Do you need designs like uniforms, padds, tricorders, phasers, etc.?

Because of the time frame that this takes place in, we need alot of new designs. Any help will be appreciated and I will see to it that credit will be given where credit is due.

The pilot script is finished. Beyond that, only a basic plot line is set up. However you would have to contact Leo Roberts on the script. I am just in charge of the 3d modeling.

Hey everyone,

Thanks bbelt for your comments and its true, we are trying to do something different with this series. I haven't written anything lately because I've been working on the website so I am going to get back to it soon.

We definitely need uniform designs and costumers that want to spend the time creating them. What's nice is by starting now, we have the time to make it quality because the pilot won't shoot until late fall. Regarding props, I do have a props person that is somewhat familiar with what we need but if you have any ideas, let us know. Keep in mind, this is 42 years into the future so we do need to make things look a little different.

LCARS - wow...that's going to be a tough one because its literally taking the cool LCARS we have now and making it look more futuristic. I'd like to see something in between the LCARS provided from Nemesis (most recent) and from the VOY ep "Relativity". Even the the TCARS provided in that episode was more related to time, it was still a cool design.
If you need a recap on what TCARS looked like, here it is: LCARS 26th Century TCARS

captainkirk: are you a LCARS guru? I liked what you showed above.

Thanks for the complement. It's actually one of my first. I just made a blue streamlined version of the normal LCARS. There's no picture of the captain yet so I used Blenders "Suzanne" primitive.
