Star Trek:Denares Fan series

Star Trek Denares is a UK based fan series which follows Captain Penn and the fresh faced crew of the starship Denares who are sent to the Omaria system to investigate the disappearance of several federation vessels; unware to the threat that lies in the Omaria Nebula- a race of xenophobic beings who will stop at nothing to keep their space pure.(It would be nice for someone to design these aliens known as the Akarian Confederacy-Lizard type but not like that series called 'V'-make them look menacing.)

I am writing the first episode entitled "Fall of the brave" and have done some production artwork which includes background elements such as labels, dedication plaque and a few panels.

This episode deals with the aftermath of the dominion war and Commander Penn realisation that he feels guilty for the death of his wife while she was in san fransisco after an argument that they had before he left. We see him aboard the USS Archemedes at the Battle of Chin'toka and its subsequent destruction at the hands of the Breen. Penn is adamant that he will leave starfleet as its caused the deaths of those close to him; Admiral Cole persuades Penn to take an assignment as Queensferry Yards, promising him that it will be 'an easy one'. Its here that he oversees the construction of the USS Denares and the realisation that he cannot resist the call of the stars.

What I am looking for is a concept artist to give the series the trek look but establishing a new look for it; so that will involve designing a new starship-the denares class- dimensions: 401 meters wide around 20 decks, this vessel is primarily a science vessel but armed to the teeth; I have done some sketches but need someone who has experience in designing ships to create something that doesnt look like the love child of the sovereign class. I will also need the bridge designing and several sections that will be built(yeah physical sets) which will include transporter room, engineering.

For the costumes I want to move away from the first contact ones and introduce a 'unique' look - I've already done some concept sketches and happy to design them. As its a new series I want someone to create redesigned phasers and tricorders, to make people say 'wow' when they watch the episodes.

As this is a non profit fan film I can give persons involved screen credit and the opportunity to work on subsequent episodes. I have already secured the voice talent of Ed Khoo to do the voiceover for the trailer(this guy has done several fan films including Star Trek Protector

Mate, there are a lot of things that have to be worked on here before you have a viable plot. I'll go into detail about them later because unfortunantly i'm posting from work. Not trying to discourage you or anything, but this sounds more like a poorly written fan fiction then any serious attempt at a fan series.

Thanks for the comments but I must point out that what Ive posted above is just the outlines and not the whole story as Ive had much positive feedback at joseralat.com/forum. I am writing the first draft of episode one and it will go through many rewrites over the next few years, I know that you believe that it sounds like poorly written fan fiction but alas I do not as many others do not either. There are many things to go over and be changed, thats how it goes; I believe when Gene Roddenberry came to Desilu/NBC with his idea they thought this will never work; but 40 years later we stil have star trek. I am getting all the little bits in place, so I know what briefly happens in each episode-a story arc over the series.
