no offense mate, SFM gets 20 request like your a week. NO ONE ever is intereted in busting their balls for months for free, specialy for a Trek fan film. I know you mean well, and you're having fun doing this, but you'de better learn to do it yourself.

Al has a point, I'm afraid. There's a glut of threads asking for people to do work for them here, and they're generally not overrun with offers of help. The problem with Franchise fan projects is that there is never the slightest possibility of anyone involved gaining anything material out of their investment. It can't be sold or licensed, and it's not particularly useful work to have on a demo reel if you're trying to break into the industry.

Also, bumping your own threads is bad form- as someone who was once on staff should really know.

It's not just Franchise fan projects, that don't get much on people wanting help out, but also original projects as well.

I am currently working on SFM first original CGI film project. We got a good core team in place, and just recently finished the script. But before we can even start modelling (which most of the staff are waiting to do.) we need to get more of the concept art finished.
We are looking for people to help out there and someone to do the storyboards.

Even with some of SFM big name attached to the project, we are not getting many people offering to help. (work done would be for free.)
Because of this the Project is starting to stall.

I sure if we started to pay for the work being done, it would be a different story.

^You're damn right. NEed to speak to you about that by the way Dean, got a couple of bits and bobs to go through, just not getting much time for non-work stuff at the moment.
