The Icarus Hunt

Not a lot of book reviews on scifi meshes, so I thought I'd go take a look at my bookshelf and pick out one just to contribute a bit. Honestly I read this book a while ago, so some of the details are fuzzy, but I really enjoyed reading it.

I read a lot of military history and current history books, but on the other side I read a lot of sci fi short stories and of course every Star Wars book ever written. I tend to not venture out too much, as far as picking up a standalone book set in it's own unique universe (I worry it won't be good and I will have wasted precious reading time), but it's by Timothy Zahn so I know I couldn't go wrong with it.

Yup! Don't think i've read this book, but he is an excellent Scifi Writer. My fav' is the "Heir to the Empire" Trilogy (Star Wars). It DEFINES the Star Wars Expanded Universe and sets the foundations for the later books.

Timothy Zahn, is IMHO, one of the best Sci-Fi authors out there. "The Icarus Hunt" was such good book that I couldn't put it down. I've read it a couple of times and it was that good the second time : ) Pretty much anything Zahn writes is that good, but the Conqueror's Trilogy, and his SW stuff are some of my all time favorites.

I can't figure out how to put my ratings in though : (
