A bloody discovery. (Chapter 1:)

The skies were darkened as the Nipponese Drop-boat descended through the broiling atmosphere. Half the descent team were suffering motion sickness as the weather buffeted them like a leaf in a hurricane.
"Hold tight people, decent will be over in five" The pilot screamed over roaring weather and engines. Outside the window a shape flashed past them in the blink of an eye causing the co-pilot to point.
"Did you see that?" He asked using the crew intercoms.
"See what?" The pilot asked looking at the sensor pad with futility.
"It was there.... I swear it." The co-pilot commented reluctant to elaborate on what he saw, a fighter with blade-like wing painted blood red, a main body the colour of liquid night and engines that glowed a faint red. It was etched in his mind like some dark nightmare from old earth.
Five minutes later the team touched down in the sealed hangar. As they descended the ramps they noticed it immediately, a feeling of violence and horror, and aftermath of death. Blast marks adorned the wall like decorations and holes pock-marked the entrance into the facility proper, but the holes were the size of men.

"Captain what do you think?" Said 2nd Lieutenant Nakamura.
"Looks like something big, missiles maybe, could be large bore kinetics too, but I don't know of a kinetic capable of that. Not that could be fitted on anything short of a corvette at least." Captain Komatsu answered as he drew the ion pistol from his belt.
Inside of the first dozen or so rooms the dead littered the area, close to fifty inside of the first floor of thirty or forty rooms, all armed. But all American as well, not a single sign of an enemy.

After 6 hours every single person on the facilities personnell list was accounted for amongst the dead, Komatsu was only glad there were no children on the base, it was a ruin blasted to oblivion by an unknown attacker using even more alien weapons. The copilot of the drop-boat came over to him.
"Captain, I thought it was nothing but during our descent I spotted an unknown ship buzz by us." He said meekly.
"Did the pilot see it as well?" Komatsu asked regulating his tone.
"No, but sir, it scared me, I thought it was going to swing back for us." The co-pilot answered."
"Tell me of it" Komatsu demanded, so he did....

In Orbit the American cruiser emerged from the jump-gate with their shields down not expecting the Nipponese to arrive before them, with shock and terror they discovered the Nipponese Heavy Carrier in orbit conducting retreival operations.
They moved in fast charging their shield capacitors as they went. Without thought they began sending shots at the carrier. It retaliated without concern or hesitation launching 150 strong salvo of capital-killer guided torpedoes.

After an hour of combat both the Cruiser and carrier were crippled, most likely beyond repairs, a sensor gloom began to pass over the cruiser. Space rippled and parted to reveal it, 22 kilometres long it's multiple sword-like profile painted red and black daunted the remaining crews of the vessels. A single communications burst was sent to the Nipponese carrier that was fighting to scramble the few fighters it had left for a futile defense.
Suddenly a dozen green beams lanced out from the massive ship and locked themselves onto the american cruiser. Another dozen beams lanced out then, bright as the sun the burning white beams carved through the cruiser between the gaps provided by the green beams.
Then with seemingly slow movement the chunks of metal moved up towards an opened cargo hold. As they were sealed within the great door began closing again and space rippled once more as the warship vanished.

Aboard the burning cruiser the ships Captain Arakaki examined the data-burst from the fearsome warship. It was a visual message and he triggered it. Suddenly a hologram materialised on the bridge. A handsome, scarred sat upon a chair or throne of some sort, Arakaki presume it was the captain of the massive ship. "I am Captain Mikhail Antonov of the Gothican Warcruiser Rapacious Destruction I have been informed by the Gothican Emperor himself to notify you that those once called "Goth" on earth have returned." With a flash the hologram vanished.

Mmmm ... tasty!
"Alien" invasions by expelled people always do well!

Some language critiques, but nothing too major. I'd try to use "tell" statements less than "show" ones though. You've got a lot of the former doing the job of mood-setting. Let us see the impact the mood has, don't tell us about it.

I am looking forward to more of this!

Sanderlee.
(no ubercritique here ... I just wrote one for someone else)
