| Administrator | The Meshies Design Competition Results Well, it's taken a little longer than I would have liked to make this announcement, due to a number of factors including an interstate relocation and new job for me and some major server issues lately but finally I can announce the winner of our competition to design The Meshie! So without further ado, I'll just get on with it... Congratulations to Tinukedaya! ![]() Tinukedaya's design has been selected and will be used as the official Scifi-Meshes community award. You will hear more about The Meshies in the next few days hopefully. Very soon we'll be opening up for you to nominate your fellow members for awards in a number of categories with the winner receiving what I'm sure will become a highly respected and sought after award - The Meshie! This will be displayed beneath the winner's avatar in the forums and on a page that will archive all previous winners for prosperity's sake (yes, it will be backed up in case of a huge server crash etc ). All winners will also get access to The Cantina, an area of the forum normally restricted to staff and Donors (those who donate money to help with the cost of running SFM).So yes, there's no trophy that we're going to mail out to you (anyone in the membership happen to own a 3d printing service and a heap of gold paint? ) but you'll have huge bragging rights (although people will dislike you if you brag too much) and know you have the admiration of the community (unless you brag too much about winning). ![]() We're sorting out the final details on the nomination and voting process and you'll hear from us on this soon. Keep checking the News section for more info as it becomes available... ![]() I also want to take this chance to congratulate and give kudos to everyone who took part of the competition. The quality of the entries was excellent and made judging this contest very difficult. It's great to see so many talented people involved with the community. You guys are the reason that SFM is successful. Thank you and congratulations to all of you! |
