Downloading Meshes? A How To

Recently I have recieved SEVERAL emails from new users asking "Ok. I've registered how do I get the models?" Here are your answers:

1. Registration with scifi-meshes.com is ONLY FINISHED after you have varified your email address. The forums software will email you a confirmation email, which when you click in the email you will become a "registered user" and have full access the the site and it's features. Currently there are 1694 people who have NOT completed their registrations by confirming their email. These users will be email (right after I post this thread) their access code to complete their registrations. If they don't do so within 3-day, all of those incomplete account will be removed from the scifi-meshes.com database.

2. The MESHES AREA is NOT vbulletin, it's another application completely that merely looks at the user database to ensure your a registered member before allowing you to download models from our server. YOU MUST LOGIN ON THE MESHES DOWNLOAD AREA. (TOP LEFT "LOGIN" Link). If you don't, even though your logged into the forums, you ARE NOT logged into the meshes are and THAT is why you can not download models.

3. IF you have issues with your account and needs help. Contact an admin so they can validate your account and get you access. However, I personally will refer you here first before adjusting accounts. Cause 99% of the problem is because users have either not finalized their registration, OR they are not logging into the meshes area.

I would like to point out that we are searching for an improved delivery system for models and files on scifi-meshes.com. I can assure you that we are well aware that the system we're using now is flawed. If you know of a solution that works with vbulletin I would LOVE for you to contact me with the info. But it MUST use vbulletin. I don't want to require people to have several accounts for just this one site.
