| Administrator | Scifi-Meshes - com, net & org Well folks if things couldn't get more confusing for me. Registerfly.com is NOT answering their phones, email, or even processing my purchases. So, I'm stuck at the moment. I have emailed ICANN.org to have them help me to get registerfly.com to issue me tranfer codes so I can move my domains to another registrar, but I'm still waiting on that one. But they at least responded and said they'd requested a responce from registerfly.com (I hope they have better luck then I do). Some of you are already aware through posts on military-meshes.com and LWG3d.org about the situation, but I'll take a moment to update the members here. Basically, scifi-meshes.com (the domain name) expired on the 16th. I however had submitted a purchase/renewal request a week before, which apprently STILL hasn't processed. Alittle research as to what the hell is going on and I come to find out that Registerfly.com is 1) either closing their doors for good, or 2) they are not processing anything until a legal situation is worked out with ICANN.org. (supposed to go in court on April 26th) doesn't help me. When I do a whois on the domain I see I own it, but enom is showing up as the registrar. Now that may be because enom used to be Registerfly's registering agent, my enom account doesn't show that domain under my account, however I will be calling them immediately tomorrow when they open at 9am to see if they can help me out. In the mean time, I have activated .net to stand in for the .com until such time as I can get that situation sorted out. Additionally I now own the .org for the domain and that also is working and routing to the .net extension. I have had to relink ALOT of images and files to get the site to work under the .net extension. However everything appears to be functional. If you find an issue please let me know via IM, PM, or pigeon. I will respond immeidately. Understand I'm not done checking things yet. But at least you can use the site. I do apologize for this situation. Seems like I'm apologizing alot. But this crisis was unexpected and to be honest, costly as the site is no longer generating ad revenue, I gotta get that all sorted out now also. No worries, we will prevail. I want everyone to know that I have no intentions of ever closing scifi-meshes.com. It's my baby, and I love to watch it grow, but hey even the site falls down the front steps once in a while. I just run over, brush off the dirt and send it on it's way agian. Again, thanks to all those who started alerting me to the site issues (all 556 of you - who seemed to IM all at once). And to all those who have offered encouragement and best wishes. Aceman |
