Tutorials have Returned!

SFM is happy to announce the return of tutorials to the site.

We are making a push to setup a dedicated area for the housing of tutorials for the member to be able to use. These tutorials are created by members for members.

If you write a tutorial and it's accepted to the database, you'll recieve a spiffy new award as recognition for your contribution to the site. The award will appear under you avatar and let everyone know you've contributed to SFM. You can only recieve this award once, regardless of how many tutorials you submit. However, a if you go nuts a new award may be created just for you.

Not all tutorials will be accepted to the database. They must pass a quality control check to ensure 1) that it's easy to follow; 2) it's not a repeat of another tutorial; and finally 3) appropriate reference images, screenshots, files have been included to help users of your tutorial.

Look for Aceman's "How to write a tutorial" - tutorial very soon.

We are hopeful this area will grow into a useful asset for the membership to learn from and contribute too.

It's on the forum index between the Modeling forums and the Gallery Forums. Look for the header 3d Education.
