First:

A MASSIVE thank you goes out to the 70 people who donated their hard earned money to help finance this trip. Over $1100.00 has been raised!! This covers the flight and the hotel! I really do appreciate all of the support and messages! You people are amazing! I hope I do you proud on this trip and show you that your donation was worth it!

As for the trip. I have SOME additional information that I got from the organizers that I would like to share with everyone:

The letter read:

Hi there Chris! (That's me)

We are advising everyone to be ready by 9 AM for Tuesday’s festivities and should have everything concluded by 2 PM on Wednesday. I would suggest that you try to arrive by 6 PM on Monday night to give yourself time to get in, get your stuff settled and be at dinner by around 7-7:30 PM. This should help everyone to make the event as affordable as possible. Also, please keep in mind we will provide transportation from the two hotels to the event both days and will be providing catered breakfast and lunches both days.

Below I have included the hotel information. The rates are included and we have secured blocks for each. If you would like to stay in another hotel, no problem – just note that you will need to be at one of them for the morning pick-ups.

Metropolitan Hotel: 30 rooms being held until June 18th
$195 for a Dlxe Queen or King Room
$225 for an Executive Queen or King Room

Sutton Place Hotel: 30 rooms being held until June 18th
$198 for a Standard King Room

(Wow expensive hotels!)

Taxes and facility fees additional.

So that's the latest on the trip. I will be purchasing my flight just as soon as the money transfer from paypal to my account. I'll have more information soon on the trip, the forum that will be setup just for this trip, and a t-shirt idea I'm working on.

I will continue to accept donations towards this effort. Any funds raise beyond what is needed for the expenses of this trip will be used to purchase items that will be given away on SFM. In other words I've got no plans to buy a car. The money will be reinvested into the site, specifically for this event. (Ie.. if they gotta gift shop.. I'll hit it up for giveaways!) If I can get something signed by the stars.. that too will be up for grabs.
