Scifi Channel Trip Media (high-res)

It has been 1 week since I made the high resolution photos available to the donator members on SFM. I believe enough time has passed that I can now make the content available to everyone.

What you will find in this directory is:

1. All high res photos provided to us from the scifi channel photographer, found in the show entitled folders.
2. The panel discussions (ea. about 200MB) for each show: Eureka, Atlantis, BSG, and Flash Gordon.

Eventually I will also have the audio from the Flash Gordon tour, the audio from the costume designer for that show, and the audio from the executive producer of the "Tin Man" mini series airing on the Scifi Channel in December. Due to computer (I'm currently in NY state) limitations I can't do alot of the things I WILL DO when I return home.

Additionally, I have requested photos from the Scifi Channel Photographer that I hope to have in my mailbox upon returning home to Virginia. That content, should it arrive will be made available at that time.

The link to the media is: http://www.scifi-meshes.com/tk421/

IF you post/use these photographs on another website we require that you please include the credits: "Eike Schroter/SCI FI Channel - from scifi-meshes.com" on or with each photo.

Damn, they're frickin' TV sets, couldn't someone have turned on a light?? 1/40 sec. exposures at 1600 ISO is just BATTY!!

Awesome stuff though, I must say. At least the 5D can handle 1600 ISO without batting an eye

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive...

Moments ago I recieved word that MORE photos are one the way from the Digital Press Tour. They indicated that EVERY photo taken will be made available so that I can choose what photos I'd like to use. Which is great news cause that means MORE stuff from the tour is coming.

Additionally, I was also told that I should be recieving a screener for the upcoming show "Flash Gordon". Depending on the restrictions, that may or may not be available to you. However, either way you'll get a review from me on the upcoming new show on Sci Fi.

More just as soon as I get it.

The only time I had to set my 5D to 1600 ISO was in a really dark aquarium So whoever the photographer was probably wasn't using the right lens. So many people use zoom lenses with f4 or even f5.6 when they should never be using anything less than an f2.8 and for indoors there's plenty of f1.2 and f1.4 lenses that are perfect for this type of photography and literally let in 4 or even 5 times as much light meaning that 1/40th iso1600 shot could have been 1/160th at iso800 no problem.

New Setup: Mac Pro 3.2 GHz 8-core (25.6 GHz), 16 GB RAM, Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.3, Maya + Pixar's RenderMan, 2560x1600 30" Samsung Monitor = Heaven. Is it worth it? Yes; it's actually cheaper than an equivalently-configured Dell.... swchweet.
